Adding new fan makes CPU fan stop

Hi,



I picked up a PCI fan to add to my computer the other day since it was running slightly hotter than i like.



Everything seemed fine, plugged it in and booted up.... suddenly i get a message that theres a fan error. Going into Bios i see no fans listed and the only fan working is the one i just installed. Removing it makes the CPU and case fans work again.Is there any way to get all the fans to work at once?
